- Abstract
The article features the Shipwreck Museum in the Lake Superior coast. The museum, which offers overnight accommodations and tours, has eight historic structures at the Whitefish Point Light Station area and a gallery with the 3,500-pound Second Order Fresnel lens of the White Shoal Light in Lake Michigan. Among the restoration works of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society are the 1849 stone tower lighthouse, the 1861 lightkeeper's quarters, the 1923 lookout tower, the 1937 fog signal building, the 1923 U.S. Coast Guard crews building, and the 1923 surfboat house.
