- Abstract
This study considers the technology of making semiconductor ac voltage stabilizers intended to improve the quality of electricity in 0.4-kV power-distribution networks. The technology contemplates that ac voltage stabilizers are made using boosting transformers with a partitioned winding, thyristor switches and a microprocessor control system with the integration and data transmission according to the IEC 60870-5-104 and IEC 6 1850 protocols. Control algorithms have been developed for semiconductor ac voltage stabilizers to stabilize ac line voltage in the automatic mode, as well as to implement reliable routes for switching voltage control steps. A method of protecting semiconductor ac voltage stabilizers in emergency network operation modes is proposed. Simulation models are proposed, and the results are presented of modeling operation modes of semiconductor devices as parts of an energy system. The results of testing stabilizer prototypes are presented which confirm the efficiency of the proposed engineering solutions.
