- Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze and reflect critically about the impact of the cultural industry and consumption in childhood, having as consequence of this process the expropriation of the creative thinking and inventive children in playful situations. The reflection will be based on theoretical notes in Adorno, Horkheimer, Marcuse and Vygotsky. In the first moment we will present some critical considerations about the impact of the cultural industry and consumption in the life of the individual, specifically, the child and the process of adaptation of these social standards. Secondly, we consider the impacts on the formation process of the thought from the children's play and their characteristics in the new industrialized social time. Thirdly, we present reflections on a few possible paths of resistance to what is put by the logic of consumption, with the goal of enriching creative and inventive thinking of children by the make-believe play proposed by Vygotsky.
