- Abstract
The article offers insights on a study that analyzes the conceptualization, policy and practice of child protection in Ethiopia’s Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR). The study design was qualitative and was collected through face-to-face, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions with key child protection implementers. Other topics include harmful traditional practices (HTPs) like early marriage and female genital mutilation, how SNNPR is a hub of child sex tourism, and what constitutes child protection.
