- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on Africana philosophy. He says that "Africana philosophy" is a collective term for the philosophical articulations, traditions, and ideas of African Americans, people of African descent, and Africans, in which it also include the works of people who are not African or of African descent that recognizes its legitimacy and importance. He cites Kwame Gyekye, who believed that the commonalities in African philosophy is in their customs and traditions.
