CHAD - NIGER - NIGERIA - CAMEROON: New Force to Fight Boko Haram.
- Abstract
The article informs about the coalition of five African countries which have agreed to form a military coalition to fight against Boko Haram, the Islamist insurgency group that has ravaged the region. The article also states that the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) will comprise 8,700 troops from Chad, Niger, Nigeria, Cameron, and Benin. The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari rejected a request from other countries that the leadership of the mission be rotated.
