The article discusses the problem of declining faculty in business school doctor of philosophy degree programs for accounting in the U.S. The author shares that despite the healthy job market for doctoral degrees in accounting, finance and marketing, the number of professors to teach students are dwindling by the hundreds. As of March 2007, business schools are adapting recruiting programs in order to increase their recruitment of qualified professors.
