- Abstract
In this work, we present the results of a study of integrated Physics class, where we analyze the several modes of the simulation used as a cognitive tool. The simulation allows the development of schemes, hierarchization of concepts, and the significant learning approach of contents. In solving and reflecting on problem situations, a student can conceptualize or respond with schemes or automated algorithms. The identification of signs in the state of the significant learning process of a student depends on the characteristics of the problem situations and the didactic proposal. The methodology used comes from outlined theoretical frameworks whose methodological approach is predominantly interpretive. We found evidence of improvements in the skills of the teaching team, interest, and student motivation. The results showed that the integration of simulation with problematic situations allowed enhancing the regulation of activity and psychological processes of the students analyzed. Moreover, the application of simulation integrated with problem situations enabled the detection of conceptions, modes of reasoning, and obstacles in the students. Besides, that resulted in a guide to self-regulation of knowledge.
