In this article the author reflects upon the outcome of 2008 presidential elections in the U.S. He refers to the victory of president Barack Obama as an example of decreasing raciam in American politics, and analyzes the factors behind voters' support for Obama. He also talks about the racial political campaigns by Obama's opponents, and gives an overview of the election results to analyze the role of his victory, in founding a multiracial politics and democracy in the country.
