- Authors
Prinzi, Travis
- Abstract
In this article, the author explains that author J.K. Rowling of the Harry Potter book series infused meanings of her tales into symbol and story. He defines the moral imagination and shows how Rowling's Harry Potter stories do more than lay down ethical lessons to be put into action. The story teaches what it means to be a moral human. The faculty of the mind engages in thought and conversation about the human soul and the way people relate with each another. Moral imagination can be defined as the power of ethical perception which strides beyond the barriers of private experience.
