- Authors
LIMOND, DAVID
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the efforts of the existing Great Britain Coalition Government to bring University Technical Colleges (UTCs) back. The author says that UTCs gave been lauded for being a potential milestone in the technical education field. He explains the aspects of the 11+ system which have caused it become a selection-by-attainment, rather than selection-by-aptitude, which it was set out to be. He emphasizes that UTCs should offer a balanced curriculum, which may involve vocational qualifications.
