It notes that the national/regional, public/private, and Canada/Quebec tensions were identified as the drivers of the Canadian radio research. The author stated that the tensions remain and now over multiple audio platforms, which radio remains the preferred medium. Radio programming and its socio-cultural base are the object of study that demands an interdisciplinary perspective.
