An essay is presented on the adaptation of Biblical Samson. It offers the differences between adaptations and the notion of a supported idea regarding a multi-layered system of realized and unrealized potentialities in the literary text. The author notes on the wide and heterogeneous field of adaptations and rewritings in which he discern the elements and the three basic types between an adaptation and an initiating texts.
