- Abstract
The article discusses the images pertaining to music in Magna Graecia, a Greek colony in Italy dating from about 470-480 BCE. Topics presented include Paestum, an extinct city, a tomb of a diver with a grave found in S. Venera at Poseidonia. The article highlights images of string instruments used for playing music, including the journey of the soul of the deceased transcending from the world of the living to the after life.
