- Abstract
The article reports on the decision of the U.S. presidential authority to use military force against terrorist organization Islamic State (IS). It mentions that the U.S. Constitution's Article II gives U.S. president certain foreign affairs powers, and states that administration of the U.S . President Barack Obama has claimed 2001 authorization for use of military force (AUMF) and 2002 AUMF authority for its actions against the IS, and highlights the scope of proposed IS AUMFs.
