- Abstract
The article discusses the laws and legislations in China which governs the damage through oil spills and environmental pollution made by ships. It highlights several provisions under the Marine Environment Protection, Maritime Code and Special Procedural law which defines the compensation regime for oil pollution damage from ships under Chinese legislation. It also explores the provisions under the Vessel Source Oil Pollution Compensation Regime under the Marine Liability Act of China.
