- Abstract
The article discusses the quarterly equine disease surveillance report for January-March 2010 prepared by the British Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Animal Health Trust, and the British Equine Veterinary Association. The report includes updates on equine infectious anaemia (EIA) and contagious equine metritis (CEM) cases, the diagnosis and control of glanders, and the emerging Hendra virus. The report gathered horse disease data from laboratories and practices in Great Britain.
