- Abstract
The article reports on the increased prevalence of equine atypical myopathy in Great Britain. It notes that several equine atypical myopathy cases were reported in England and Northern Europe. It mentions that equine atypical myopathy affects both humans and horses wherein young horses are highly susceptible to the disease. Affected horses exhibit discoloured brown urine, stiff, and weak and with increased level of creatine kinase and aspartate transaminase and urine myoglobin concentration.
