The article discusses how many courts in Illinois imply victims' legal standing to enforce their expressed rights in criminal prosecutions as of 2015, and it mentions the state's criminal justice system, legal precedent, and the Illinois Legislature's constitutional "standing amendment" which was ratified on a ballot in November 2014. Statutory interpretations and equitable remedies are mentioned, along with legal rights in relation to restitution and victim impact statements.
