- Title
The Critiques and The Realities.
- Authors
BEVER, EDWARD
- Abstract
A response by the author to a series of critiques on his book "The Realities of Witchcraft and Popular Magic in Early Modern Europe" is presented. The author points that Richard Jenkins misread the reference, "Witches and Neighbors," by Robin Briggs, which was cited in support of his statement on hallucinogens. He also cites "Thinking With Demons: The Idea of Witchcraft in Early Modern Europe," by Stuart Clark and "Ecstacies: Deciphering the Witches' Sabbath," by Carlo Ginsburg as support to his conclusions regarding complex experiences such as flight.
