- Abstract
The article discusses the use of combined positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in evaluation of the solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN). PET/CT is a safe, noninvasive technique that allows fast and accurate diagnosis of an SPN and should be part of a routine algorithm for SPN evaluation. Findings of PET/CT scanning from different patients are explained.
