- Abstract
Pesents findings of a study which tested the hypothesis that neuroactive steroid dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) exerts its antiapoptotic and cytoprotective actions via specific membrane binding sites. Role of DHEA-bovine serum albumin in protecting PC12 cells against serum deprivation-induced apoptosis; Integration of DHEA with isolated membranes from PC12, human chromaffin and rat hippocampal cells; Effect of androgens and glucocorticoids on DHEA.
