- Abstract
The article examines whether corporate investment in Canada's business schools compromise academic freedom and integrity. According to the article, purists argue that any external influence over teaching and academic research threatens academic freedom. Examples of businesses which have profited from the sale of their names to corporate investors are cited. The deal that came out of the University of Toronto with the Rotman Foundation's offer of $15 million to the business school is considered to be one of the most controversial.
