- Abstract
Mtro. Pedro A. Reyes Linares, sj. On the wisdom that looks for a way. This paper seeks to contribute to the understanding of the relationships and contrasts between Heidegger and Zubiri's thinking about the original condition of humankind's being: it looks at a change in the metaphorical foundation that guides the logic of the two thinkers. Following Hans Blumenberg's proposal regarding the heuristic virtue of metaphors in philosophy, the paper proposes that the change— found in Zubiri's early writing— of Heidegger's metaphor of "being thrown into" (in Being and Time) for that of "being implanted," proposes a new ontological understanding of the human person that the Spanish author will develop, in opposition to Heidegger, in the rest of his writings. The result is the recognition of the human person's being as an existence constitutionally linked to God as the reality-source of all of her own being, a deified being that is revealed fully and historically in the Jesus of Nazareth occurrence.
