- Abstract
The article focuses on the potential utility of monitoring n-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) as a biomarker for predicting recovery from drug-induced coma states, specifically in a case of prolonged coma following massive baclofen exposure. It discusses the therapeutic indications for baclofen, its off-label use for alcohol use disorder, and the symptoms of baclofen overdose and making decisions regarding cessation of ventilatory support and extubation.
