- Abstract
The article discusses the analysis for the 2017 State proficiency standards for student performance in the U.S. It cites on the U.S. law called the Every Student Success Act (ESSA) which prohibits the federal government to create incentives for setting national standards. The article also reports on the commitment made by several U.S. States in implementing the Common Core standards to ensure consistent benchmarks for student learning.
