- Abstract
The article focuses on challenges presented by energy market subsidies to the U.S Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) regulation of the energy markets. Topics discussed include legal authority of FERC to protect energy markets from the adverse effect of subsidies, the control of the energy and capacity market subsidies by the FERC and concept of net metering subsidies for distributed generation. It mentions energy subsidy such as production tax credit and renewable energy credits.
