The article discusses the 50th anniversary of the Van Gend en Loos v. Nederlandse Administratie der Leastingen case of the European Court of Justice which created the provisions of the Treaty Establishing the European Economic Community (EEC) which have the capability of making rights that could be applied by both natural and legal persons before the courts of the member states of the EEC.
