- Abstract
The article describes the case of a previously healthy male child aged 19 months who had Baylisascaris procyonis infection on May 1, 2017. The child had a one-week history of irritability followed by tremors of his extremities, ataxia and reduced interactivity. The parents of the patient had confirmed that he had ingested soil and animal feces in their backyard. The patient was treated with oral albendazole and intravenous steroids.
