- Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between the Argentine government and the indigenous population living in the Río de la Plata viceroyalty from the 18th century until the Argentine Revolution beginning in 1810. It examines the social and economic activity of the people in this region, as well as the labor conflicts that arose during this time period. The author analyzes the influence of these labor and civil rights conflicts on the natives' participation in the revolution, using historical documents, newspapers, and laws written at the time.
