- Abstract
This article presents the results of a national survey and snapshot audit conducted in the UK to assess the current nutritional practices after pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) surgery. The study found that there is significant variation in perioperative nutritional practices and opinions among clinicians. Less than half of the centers had a written protocol for feeding patients after PD, and there was uncertainty regarding the safety of early oral feeding and the use of different nutritional interventions. The study highlights the need for further research and clinical trials to improve the nutritional management of PD patients.
