- Abstract
Objective To screen out the risk factors of phlebitis in perioperative cardiac surgery patients and establish a Nomogram prediction model to provide a basis for the prevention of phlebitis. Methods The clinical data of 178 patients with peripheral venous catheterization in the Cardiac Surgery Ward of the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China from January to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients with peripheral phlebitis were recorded, and the least absolute value shrinkage selection algorithm (Lasso) regression analysis was used to screen out the important risk factors, and then establish a Nomogram risk prediction model, clinical and consistency index (C-index) is given and the calibration curve. Results One hundred and seventeen of 178 patients with catheterization developed phlebitis. Lasso regression analysis was performed on 24 potential phlebitis-related factors in the study, the results showed whether preoperative medication, whether to use vasoactive medications, using vascular active drug kinds, whether to use anticoagulation therapy, whether to use norepinephrine, whether to use esmolol are risk factors of phlebitis in patients, The C index for the nomogram of model was 0. 79 (95% CI: 0. 68-0. 83). Conclusions Nomogram model of peripheral phlebitis in perioperative cardiac patients could be used to individually predict the occurrence of peripheral phlebitis.
