Howard, Marshall C.
- Abstract
The article presents U.S. commercial law case studies involving antitrust law and the regulation of channels of distribution. Two cases, the case of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company v. U.S. Federal Trade Commission and The Atlantic Refining Company v. U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) were in response to a prior ruling by the FTC that an arrangement between Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and the Atlantic Refining Co. violated Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act. The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the Federal Trade Commission.
