The article discusses the medieval portrayal of a woman's body and its feminist comparison to Jesus Christ. Topics explored include the way philosopher Thomas Aquinas compared male and female bodies in his book "Summa Theologica," the divinity and biology of a woman's body according to the 13th century manuscript "De Secretis Mulierum," by Albertus Magnus, and the association of a maternal body to the suffering of Christ by theologian Julian of Norwich.
