The article presents a critique of the theatrical production "The Slave" by Amiri Baraka. Topics include the sequence of the events displayed on the stage of the play and sound effects used during the performance, distinguishment of the techniques of theatre employed by Amiri Baraka from those of Adrienne Kennedy, and the description of the toil and turmoil experienced by Black people.
