The article explores the theological and religious aspects of physical light. The author reflects on the religious symbology of light and the historical background of light theory in modern physics. Emphasis is given to light as described as waves and particles in the special theory of relativity developed by physicist Albert Einstein and theological parallels to the light of Jesus Christ.
