In this article, the author presents his views on the correlation of kingship and law in Macedonia. He tells a story of defendant who prefer to pay fine for his misconduct instead of bearing public humiliation during the reign of King Philip II. He further mentions that kings were not interested in facing challenges but in exercising their royal authority over the law.
