The article discusses the status of phonotactic constraint (PhTC) in Romania's northwestern dialects, which is a region best characterized by the phenomenas PhTC, palatalization of dentals and labials and the reduction of the clusters. Topics discussed include different dissimilarities between Slavic and Romanian and how it influences each language, PhTC in the Thraco-Dacian dialect and the impact of the Daco-Romanian region's very conservative nature on dialects.
