- Title
AIDS. Too much of a bad thing?
- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the effect of health campaigns related to AIDS on children with special reference to a £ 20 million government advertising campaign in Great Britain. The theme of the campaign was to spread the message that there was a serious disease that kills and that one should read leaflets delivered to every home in Great Britain that might save one's life. It is a curious paradox that on the one hand society exhibits considerable sensitivity about sex education for children, while on the other hand, it exposes them to frightening sex education information without the benefit and support of formal educational programmes. The result is that children are encountering a world of misunderstanding and half-truths about AIDS.
