- Abstract
The article focuses on the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) rule on homegrown player and the "6+5" proposal of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). Several provisions of the Treaty of Rome in forming the European Economic Community (EEC) in 1957 includes free movement of workers and rights subjected to limitations. Alternative methods for UEFA and FIFA to accomplish their goals include implementation of a revenue sharing procedure and the creation of a salary cap.
