- Authors
Ann Wai-Yee Kwong
- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on the usefulness of text-to-speech technology for blind students. The author says that she was deprived of the opportunity to read physical print. She mentions the extensive process of transcribing literature into an accessible format for her to read it and their use of Freedom Scientific Inc.'s computer screen reader known as Job Access with Speech (JAWS) during examinations.
