An essay is presented on the works of author Benjamin Fondane with regards to his Jewish and Romanian background as well as a writer of French. It states that Fondane's work is noted by a migration through languages, cultures and a discussion between forms of knowledge. It profiles Fondane who is considered as an important poet of modernity. It also examines his essays and "Faux Traité d' esthétique" which are still reportedly used as a reference in the postmodern era.
