- Title
Metallo-helical complexes: Resolutely pure helices.
- Authors
Aldrich-Wright, Janice R.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the formation of complexes into supramolecular helical structures through coordination. It says that helicates are formed through assembly of rigid ligands (L) with metal centres (M). It discusses helicity which makes the complexes chiral and a synthetic method by Peter Scott and colleagues yielding triple-stranded helical complexes that are optically true. It talks on the term flexicates which reflects the resemblance of the compounds with helicates.
