- Abstract
The Cover Picture shows well‐defined metal nanoparticles (Pt, Pd, or Au) within a microporous framework. The devised and widely applicable design strategy consists of the synthesis of heterogenized nanoparticles using a one‐step in situ methodology; using this methodology, the morphology and the local structural environment can be effectively controlled. Under continuous‐flow conditions, the thus prepared catalysts effectively oxidize KA‐oil with high selectivities to cyclohexanone (close to 100 %) at high atom efficiency, enhancing the industrial prospects for producing this highly important precursor in the manufacture of renewable Nylon‐6. More details can be found in the Communication by Gill et al.on page 423 in Issue 5, 2016 (DOI: 10.1002/cssc.201501264).
