The article presents a case study to evaluate use of a mobile device tool developed by the Duke Clinical Research institute for simplifying clinical trial patient enrollment and data collection. Topics discussed include challenges faced in development of the palm app; overview of the PALM Registry program and application and use of disruptive technologies in clinical development.
