- Abstract
The article discusses a study that explores social factors associated with the decision to participate in prostate cancer screening among urban African-American male. Qualitative methodology with ethnographic approach was incorporated by researchers because it provides a systematic process for observing, documenting and analyzing decision making. Male participants in the study showed interest in participating in prostate cancer prevention strategies which were culturally appropriate.
