Smoke-free legislation has benefits even for bar staff who smoke.
- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted in Scotland on the benefits of smoke-free legislation. Researchers investigated the effects of smoke-free legislation on the health of 371 workers in 72 bars in a range of socioeconomic areas in urban and rural Scotland before and after smoke-free legislation was passed. The research found that smoke-free legislation had health benefits for all employees, even for bar staff that smoked.
