- Abstract
The article presents a survey on money management of nursing students conducted by Unison organization in Great Britain. It reveals that more than 7 out of ten nursing students who receive a bursary are forced to take on extra paid work to supplement their income. It also shows that average debt among health students increased by over 26% in 2007 to £7,012. Moreover, the proportion of students with debts more than £10,000 increases from 6% in 2003 to 22% in 2007.
