- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to nursing in Great Britain. Five nurses have been funded for six years by Cancer Research and the government to run cancer clinical trials across Northern Ireland. The National Health Service trust introduced the Pennies from Heaven scheme that allows staff to donate the pennies of their monthly salaries to local hospices. The National Patient Safety Agency has appointed mental health nurse Ben Thomas as safer practice lead.
