- Authors
Jacob Jenkins, J.
- Abstract
Online identity is a growing concern for many organizations. This concern is especially salient among nonprofit organizations, whose future existence often depends upon the acquisition of additional benefactors. In light of this reality, the present study uses an experiential web analysis to examine the internet presence of the world's wealthiest nonprofit organizations: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Stichting INGKA Foundation, Wellcome Trust, Howard Hughes Medical institute, and Ford Foundation. This study concludes with five potential implications for future research and practice: (a) recognized cynicism, (b) online necessity, (c) enriched dialogue, (d) design quality, and (e) contemporary name recognition.
